So I realized the other day when I had to renew my own subscription how bad a beating the Canadian dollar just took. The money I had stored in my Paypal for the contest is no longer enough (it actually wasn't enough in the first place, so now it's really not enough). So the subscription has unfortunately been cut in half. D:

I don't actually have a job (other than the occasional commission) so I really don't have an income, other than my limited allowance. It's really hard for me to get money, especially this time of year. I hope you guys understand. :'<

I do have some good news, ~animemoonkitty6 has graciously donated two prizes: a Zutara picture and a Zutara AMV (examples) to be drawn/made by her.

Ohgodlifejustbitchslappedme.

Quick personal update: I'm still here, I'm checking my messages, I am working on commissions, but it's going to take me a while to sort through everything since school decided to creep up on me. I've been having near panic attacks from stress, so I escaped to my cottage to go find my spirit animal. I didn't find it, but I did see a deer in my "backyard."

So. Two fanfics. One fanart. Also, I switched up the prizes a bit since I'm broke (i.e. I took off a bit of the monetary prize money and added on some manga prizes) AND I extended the deadline for a month, because once again, I have no money.

Now... I have a Japanese Culture Club to plan, so if you'll excuse me.

The Contest

You must create a piece (whether it's visual art, a written story, photography or even music) that depicts a Zutara vision of the future, preferably with the theme: "A Passionate Affair."

The Deadline

The deadline is:

November 26^nd @ 11:59 PM EST

The Rules

You may enter as many pieces as you want. All of your entries will be eligible.

All entries are counted as individual entries, meaning you are judged on quality not quantity. The only exceptions to this rule are chapters of the same fanfiction or if you are making a multiple page comic, you may enter the whole thing as a single entry. All other pictures will be counted as separate entries (I may make exceptions if you're doing a series of similar pictures).

There is no rating limitation, but if you're going to submit it to deviantART you must follow their guidelines, or you must upload it somewhere else or send it to my email (eevachu@gmail.com). You must also follow the laws of your country regarding adult material.

Obviously, the piece must be entirely yours (excluding stock materials such as photos and brushes). Stock does not include official Avatar screenshots or art.

All art must be made uniquely for this contest, no older pieces (unless you have an un-posted piece that miraculously fits this theme).

This contest isn't limited to deviantART members, but since most of the prizes are dA related, you probably want to be.

The Prizes

Now onto the glorious prizes~

There are (so far) six prizes in this contest:

A 6 month subscription to deviantART. It was once a year subscription, until the Canadian dollar kinda... Died. D:

$20 CAN to spend in the deviantART shop (or wherever you choose if you have a Pay Pal account).

One full painting commissions from myself, =eevachu.

A choice of a manga from my "extras" collection (ask me for details on titles).

A Zutara themed picture, drawn by ~animemoonkitty6.

A Zutara themed AMV, made by ~animemoonkitty6 (Examples).

First Place will get first choice from these, Second Place will get second choice, and Third place will choose from the remaining prizes. Honourable Mention prizes may be awarded depending on the number of entries.

If you'd like to donate a prize, I will love you forever. Just send me a note and tell me what you want to throw in.

How the Winner Will be Chosen

I will choose the top ten entries (depending on the number of entries I may pick more than ten) in each division and they will be put to a vote by poll for exactly one week. I will then decide on the winners based on the polls.

End Note

Some of you may be wondering why I'm doing all of this for a pairing in a cartoon. Well it's simple: to make people feel better.

I don't have a great personal attachment to anything (especially not pairings), but I know some people harbour a tremendous personal attachment to things, and I knew that when Zutara didn't happen, some people would be utterly devastated. So I came up with this idea to try and keep the strongest group of shippers on the planet from staying down in the dumps.

...That and I'm hoping that my shelling out about $60 and lots of my time will incite enough people to enter, so we can flood the internets with more Zutara!!

Please pass this contest around even if you don't plan on entering, I want so many entries into this contest that I need to go buy another external modem. ~~I'll probably be posting this as a news article soon.~~ NOW IN NEWS ARTICLE FORM!
